Stellar Pickles started in 2024 as my wife’s side business: small-batch pickling sold at farmer’s markets around Northwest Georgia and beyond, from Adairsville and Calhoun to Rome, Chattanooga, Atlanta, and a few stops in between.

The website came along as a lighter companion to that work. It was never really meant to be a product catalog or a serious sales channel. We built it mostly for fun, as a way to put a stamp on the brand and give the project a little corner of the internet to call its own.

If there is one thing we are especially proud of, it is the logo. It is based on Stella, our young German shepherd, with a pickle in her mouth. The name plays on hers, mixed with a nod to Stellar Elements, a company I was working for around the same time. Stellar Elements has since been acquired by Amdocs.

Work

  • Website design and development
  • Brand identity and logo
  • A simple home for a small, market-driven food business

Context

Most of the real energy behind Stellar Pickles lives at the stands: meeting people, selling jars, and building the business weekend by weekend. The site sits a step removed from that, more a creative outlet than a growth engine, and that was always the point.
